Personal College Advising
Helping you make an educated college choice
Most parents associate college planning with paying for college. Helping your child select the right college for them, however, requires just as much planning–maybe more. And the sad reality is high school guidance counselors, with literally hundreds of students, can’t give your child the personal attention needed on a consistent basis to effectively make that decision. That’s where Personal College Advising comes in.
Through our years of working in college admissions, we know students who start the college search process sooner usually end up the most satisfied with their choice. To that end, Personal College Advising starts working with students as early as freshman year to identify strengths, set goals and establish a strategy and a timetable. Then we’re there for you in an advisory role as the strategy unfolds until the student makes his/her final decision.
Personal College Advising offers specific counseling and guidance with:
selecting the appropriate high school classes to keep the student’s options open
tips on how to visit a school
the application process, including interviews and essay writing
how to go about getting financial aid and other scholarship resources
paying for college resources
With Personal College Advising, you have a college admission specialist with more than two decades of experience in your corner. Whether it’s as your advisor, confidante, even your friend, we are but a phone call or e-mail away during the entire process.
There’s no getting around the high cost of a college education–even with scholarships and financial aid. That’s why making a college choice that both you and your child are happy with is even more important. Personal College Advising can help make that happen.
